About Tony Cavallo

Thank you to the family members who braved the pouring rain to join us for our art exhibition. I think you will agree that we have some very talented artists here at Worsley Bridge! It was wonderful to share the event with over 200 members of our school community-I am sure you will join me […]

This morning started with a fabulous assembly about the Stone Age by 3W. The children shared some really interesting information, asked us questions to make us think and performed two wonderful songs. Well done 3W-a perfect start to the day! This week we received the wonderful news that Mrs Lacey gave birth to a beautiful […]

The October Families Together session will be on Thursday 10th October at St Paul’s Church. We plan to retell Jesus’ parable which adults know as “the Prodigal Son” but we want to emphasise Jesus’ telling as “Welcoming Home”. There will be fun activities and games as usual, ending with tea with parents/carers in the Hall, […]

Hopefully over the past week you will have heard you child mention the word ‘OPAL’ and talk about how much they are enjoying their lunch breaks. This is because we have embarked on a new project to develop the quality of our lunch time! High quality play experiences contributes to school success. Over the course […]

Yesterday children from KS1 travelled to Bromley FC for the annual Under 7’s football tournament. The children played incredibly well, winning two games and drawing the other three. This meant that they ended up coming second in their group! It was a wonderful day and all children were a credit to the school.  They also showed […]

Next Friday we will be holding our harvest assembly and we would like to ask you to make a tinned meat donation for our harvest display. The food collected can then be delivered to Bromley Foodbank. This fabulous organisation supports hundreds of families in need right across the borough so please give generously! Speaking of […]

This morning 4W wowed the school with their fabulous assembly about their class story the ‘Fire maker’s Daughter’. The children performed poems, acted out sections of the story and sung but the real highlight was their erupting volcanoes! Well done and thank you 4W-we are extremely proud of you!

Year 2 also enjoyed a trip out this week to the Cutty Sark! The teachers, TAs and helpers were very impressed at how the children managed the journey to Greenwich as well as their impeccable behaviour throughout the day. Educational visits are so important to us at WB because they provide the children with the opportunity to experience the things […]

Children in year 5 visited the Old Operating Theatre at London Bridge this week to support their studies of Victorian England. This is the first time we have visited this museum and the children had a fantastic morning learning about Victorian medicines. Paige and Kian particularly enjoyed it when the doctor pretended to chop off Ethen’s leg! They said the blood […]
