This week began with a wonderful assembly all about the character ‘Traction Man’. 2W delighted their audience by acting out the heroic acts taken by Traction Man and his faithful side kick Scrubbing Brush. Well done 2W-it was the perfect start to another very busy week!

Following assembly year 5 and 6 children became architects when they were set the challenge of designing, modelling, pricing then building their own Lego houses. In teams of four, the children worked together effectively to learn from their mistakes and complete the challenge even with the pressure of a time constraint.

Based on real life experiences, the children enjoyed working out how big their house could be whilst staying within a set budget. Veer reported “Build a Lego house day was really fun and also challenging.

It was the best day of year 6 yet. I would really recommend it.”
