On Monday, KS1 and KS2 hosted a wonderful ‘virtual’ assembly for their phase to celebrate Black History month. The children have been studying influential black members of society and they produced the most creative presentations.
Year 1 confidently paraded fashion designs that were influenced by designer Ozwald Boateng, Reception sang about Martin Luther King and Year 2 taught us all about the amazing work of Mary Seacole.
Year 5 quizzed us on the world of tennis after they told us all about Venus and Serena Williams, we learnt about the very determined Marcus Rashford from Year 3.
I was really impressed by year 4’s graffiti wall inspired by the work of Benjamin Zephaniah and Year 6 had us all laughing as they told us about Lenny Henry. It really was a great start to our week.
