Friday started with a fantastic assembly from 1B about their current topic of homes and castles. The children talked about a dream house with an incredible games room and a bathroom called the rub a dub-dub room to name but a few of the amazing features! I was so impressed at the way the children learnt their lines, spoke clearly through the microphone and performed 2 wonderful songs. It was the perfect start to the day – thank you 1B!

The end of Friday was equally exciting as the Worsley Bridge football team played a match against James Dixon Primary School. The boys were triumphant and came away with a 4:1 win! Congratulations go to Ola, Johnny and Ethen who were the goal scorers!

I would like to say a very big thank you to our team of year 3 and year 4 cross country runners who bravely battled the mud and puddles at Crystal Palace on Saturday. It was an early start for Mr Gwilliam who helped with the preparations for the event. Mrs Drake and I then joined the children at 8.30am as they ran round the 2km course. 40 Bromley primary schools participated in this event, with over 400 children in each race. Well done to you all and a big thank you to Mr Gwilliam and Mrs Drake for supporting at the event.
