Good afternoon and a very warm welcome to the Autumn Term. It has been wonderful to see you all on the playground and we hope that you had a restful break. The children (as I am sure you are) seem to be enjoying being back at Worsley Bridge and they have made a wonderful start to the term by working very hard already! The term ahead is set to be a busy one so please take the time to look at the dates below so you don’t miss out!
The first event we would like to invite you to will be our Open Morning on Wednesday 19th September. The morning will begin with a presentation in the main hall followed by an opportunity to take a tour around school and visit your child’s classroom to see what they have been learning in the first few weeks of term. A light breakfast, tea and coffee will be available from 8.45am in the main school hall.
Over the course of the year you are invited to come in to see your child’s class assembly. These have now moved to Monday mornings with the dates and classes performing this term listed below. Once you have dropped your children off on the playground please make your way to the school hall via Brackley Road. Seats are available from 9am.
It has been a busy summer for lots of children. Hunee, in year 6 made it through to the second round of the voice. We are so proud of her achievements and could clearly see why she was so successful when she treated us to a performance in Tuesday’s assembly. Hunee I am certain that great opportunities lie ahead of you! Micah in year 4 shared his latest swimming certificates and we were very pleased to see that Gracie and Jan completed the ‘Summer Reading Challenge’. If you have achieved something over the summer please bring in your certificates to celebration assemblies on Mondays so we can inspire others.
Before I wish you a great weekend I would like to congratulate Veer, Alexa, Brodie and Yoana for becoming our first VIPs. They have already made an excellent start to their new role! Well done and thank you!
