This morning started with a fabulous assembly about the Stone Age by 3W. The children shared some really interesting information, asked us questions to make us think and performed two wonderful songs. Well done 3W-a perfect start to the day!

This week we received the wonderful news that Mrs Lacey gave birth to a beautiful baby boy weighing in at 8lb 14! A name has yet to be decided but the family are all doing well. Congratulations! We can’t wait to meet you.

Homework continues to go from strength to strength. All around school there are wonderful displays of Stonehenge, volcanoes, Crystal Palace and the Titanic. I really enjoyed sharing Emma’s diorama about Robert Pearly and Matt Henson’s expedition to the North Pole in 1909. A fantastic piece of work Emma-thank you!

I understand that there have been some problems obtaining items from the uniform shop but I am hopeful they will be restocked soon. Our uniform remains very important to us and we take great pride in looking smart and being ready for school each day. Please can you ensure that your child is wearing the correct uniform, including ties, every day? Socks should be plain and without bows. Hair bows can be worn but they should be small and in school colours. Children may bring in a change of footwear for lunch time but they should wear plain black shoes and not boots please.

Wishing you all a very enjoyable weekend.
