In year 6 pupils aspire to become a VIP (very independent person) by showing they are always ready for learning, completing their homework every week, presenting themselves well by wearing school uniform correctly and with pride, behaving responsibly, caring for the school community and generally being a good member of the school community.
They are rewarded with their badge and then given roles and responsibilities such as hosting events, setting up the hall for assembly, taking the lunch trolleys to the hall and returning them after lunch, ensuring registers and letters are delivered etc In return for the jobs they complete they are rewarded with a celebration event each half term.
On Friday 31st they opted for a picnic at Beckenham Place Park, joined by Yasmin the retired Guide Dog. We then enjoyed games on the filed and a round or two of Hindleap Hide and Seek (a game we learnt on school journey). It was a fun filled afternoon and a perfect end to the half term!
