Outdoor Learning Environment

Worsley Bridge Forest School

Forest School provides a range of stimulating opportunities for children within the school environment. The sessions take place in the open air and in all weathers. The sessions encourage our children to become independent and self-confident.

The hands on nature of Forest School actively encourages children to try things out, take risks, learn to problem solve, negotiate and work cooperatively with each other. It also links to the different elements of the curriculum such as maths, geography, science, literacy, design technology and art.

The children will learn a range of practical skills as well as enjoy the natural environment and identify some of the wonderful flowers, trees, insects and animals that populate our outdoor areas.

All sessions take place at the top of the school field and our aim is to ensure that every child attending the school experiences Forest School as often as possible.
