Our School PTFA
The PTFA brings families, teachers and our local community together to raise funds to support the school and enables us to enrich the children’s education. We cover costs of things which the school budget doesn’t cover and provide extra fun & learning opportunities for the children. The team is responsible for planning, budgeting, and running events. However, most events cannot run without the support of additional volunteers. Everyone is welcome at our PTFA meetings and all members of the WB community are encouraged to get involved in any way they can. We currently hold mid-week evening meetings in Beckenham, which works best with the busy working schedules of the current committee.
2019-2020 Fundraisers & Events
Events in 2019-2020 included a Circus for the school and local community, Christmas Fair, Spring Disco, Frozen Friday Ice Lollies, McMillian Coffee Morning & WB Bake Off, Cake, Uniform & Book Sales.
Over the past two years, funds from such events have gone towards:
- Indoor Climbing Frames in the school hall
- Art Studio
- Lunch Hall Tables
- Free Festive Panto
- Equipment for the Outdoor Play & Learn (OPAL).
- Year 6 Hoodies – As a leaving gift for their time at Worsley Bridge, we have also provided each Year 6 pupil with a WB personalised hoodie for the past 2 years
How to get involved
- Join the Committee – We hold regular meetings throughout the academic year and everyone is welcome whether you hold a position on the committee or not.
- Volunteer– Our events can’t run without the help of volunteers, so please volunteer your time whenever you can.
- Become a Class Rep– Help bridge any communication gaps between the committee / school and families.
- Bake for our events
